Arsenal Colorado Hires New Goalkeeping Director
Arsenal Colorado introduces new Director of Goalkeeping, Luke Baxter.
Arsenal Colorado is excited to introduce Luke Baxter as the Director of Goalkeeping, a new position for the club. Baxter holds a UEFA B and USSF D License. Luke also possesses a B.S. in both Health & Human Performance and Psychology. With more than 11 years of coaching at the club, high school, Division I college and professional level, Luke brings a wealth of knowledge to this new position. “I am thrilled to be a part of Arsenal Colorado and I cannot wait to get started. I am extremely excited about the prospect of working alongside a fantastic group of coaches that strive to provide the best possible experience and environment for their players. The decision to join Arsenal was an easy one due to the philosophy and values of the club aligning with my own. I wanted to thank my previous employers, Elite Girls Academy and Creighton University, for their continued support and for the opportunity. I look forward to getting onto the soccer field and building a goalkeeping program to be proud of at Arsenal Colorado”.
Luke has been deeply involved in Nebraska soccer for the last 4 years working as ECNL Goalkeeping Director for Elite Girls Academy (Omaha), Women’s Assistant Coach at Creighton University and as a Regional Staff Coach for the Nebraska Olympic development Program. In addition, Baxter was Director of the Pre-ODP program during its inception in 2015.

He has done an incredible job for us over the last two years, and I have no doubt he will do a phenomenal job for Fort Collins soccer. While we are saddened by his departure, we are excited for him, Callum and Izzy and we look forward to watching from afar all the successes he brings to his new Director of Goalkeeping position,” Marcus Kelcher, Elite Girls Technical Director said.
Baxter also served as a volunteer assistant for Bellevue’s men’s Soccer team before joining the Creighton staff. Baxter graduated with bachelor’s degrees in health and human performance (2013) as well as psychology (2017) from Bellevue, where he was also recruited to play soccer for their men’s program. His playing career also consists of Bottesford Town Football Club (Amateur Club in England), Lincoln City Football Club, Scunthorpe United Football Club, and Lincoln City Football Club, all Professional Clubs in England.
Luke’s Hobbies include soccer, boxing and spending time with his family. His favourite soccer team is Arsenal FC. His favourite vacation place to vacation is Clearwater, Florida. He will be moving here with his family, Arsenal Alum Isabel (Izzy) Anders and their new-born son Callum.
